    Hi! My family and I will run the 5k, half marathon and full marathon during the 2024 Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend. When can we reserve a Disney resort? Thank you!

    Welcome to planDisney, Kenia! You and I must have a lot in common because I'm also going to be visiting The Most Magical Place On Earth during Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend next year. I'm not running, but one of my dear friends is taking part in the Dopey Challenge, so we're planning a girls' trip to cheer her on when she crosses the finish line!

    Kenia, I have great news for you! There was a major drop of news Disney Parks news today on the Disney Parks Blog, and one of the things we learned is that reservations for 2024 will open up on May 31. You will be able to book your vacation package on that day and make sure that you have a comfy place to stay after you've done all that running. It sounds like you already know this next part, but Walt Disney World Marathon weekend is a very popular time to travel, so it's a great idea to know exactly where you want to stay before May 31 so you'll be able to make that booking as soon as the window opens up. I really love Disney's Yacht Club Resort for convenient access to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Pop Century Resort is also a great choice since it is connected to the Disney Skyliner, which makes transportation extra easy.
