We have a family reunion coming up in August and I was going to purchase tickets for 4 different families under my account. Is there a way to share the tickets through the Disneyland app or do I have to purchase it 4 different times for each family?

    Hi Thuy,

Thanks for visiting planDisney! I’m so excited to hear you’re having your family reunion at the Happiest Place on Earth. Disneyland is already magical, but it’s even better when you're creating memories with loved ones. As a bonus, your family can enjoy all the magic of Disneyland's 70th Anniversary celebration. I am confident you all will enjoy everything they have to offer.

I’m happy to help guide you on how to get tickets for everyone in your group. On the Disneyland website, you can purchase up to 10 tickets at a time. Depending on your family’s size, you may need multiple transactions. However, you don’t need to make a separate purchase for each family unit. After completing the transaction, you’ll receive an email with Disney eTickets. Each eTicket has a unique code that can be linked to a Disneyland app or My Disney Experience account.

Unfortunately, tickets can’t be shared through the Disneyland app; you’ll need to link each one manually. Once you’ve decided who will use which tickets, forward the eTickets to those family members so they can link them themselves. Here’s how:

    1) Open the Disneyland mobile app and tap the three stacked lines in the bottom-right corner.
    2) Select My Tickets & Passes.
    3) Tap the + symbol in the top-right corner.
    4) Choose Link Tickets & Passes.
    5) Scan each eTicket or enter the codes manually.

If your group will enter the parks together (especially if you’re park hopping as a single unit) there’s no need to split the tickets. However, giving each family unit its own tickets can help coordinate different schedules, nap breaks, or individual park-hopping plans.

If you plan to purchase Lightning Lane, I suggest having at least one person link all the tickets to their account. That way, they can manage all Lightning Lane reservations at once, ensuring everyone books at the same time.

I hope this helps, Thuy! If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out to me or any of the other planDisney panelists. We’re always ready to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your family’s Disney adventure.

    Have a magical family reunion!
