Howdy, Wendolyn! Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney!
The countdown to your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is ON, Wendolyn! In just a few short weeks, you will be in the middle of the magic of
Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration. There is so much to enjoy during this extra special time, but there's always one thing that brings me back time and time again - the FOOD! With so many fabulous restaurants throughout Walt Disney World, securing those
Advanced Dining Reservations is key to ensuring you can experience as many as possible during your vacation. So, let’s talk about it!
'Ohana really is such a great spot, Wendolyn. From the delicious all-you-care-to-eat
'Ohana Breakfast Skillet to the world-famous noodles and 'Ohana Bread Pudding at dinner, the food is bound to blow you away. But, of course, because it is so good, it does book up quickly, which can be a real bummer. However, don’t lose faith! If you do not see any reservations available, keep an eye on your My Disney Experience app in the days leading up to your vacation. Since there is a $10 charge per Guest for any reservation cancellation done with less than 24 hours' notice (though that fee is subject to change), you will see that many dining times pop up in the days and weeks leading up to your visit as Guests plans change and cancellations come through. I recommend checking the app about 2-3 times per day, and you may just find the reservation I am looking for. This is especially common in the few days before your arrival, so if you can be a bit flexible, you may find yourself enjoying a delicious meal at ‘Ohana after all!
Alternatively, many dining locations throughout Walt Disney World offer a
Mobile Dine Walk-Up feature where you can add your party to a stand-by list and be notified when your table is ready. Now, this all depends on availability, so if the restaurant is at capacity for the day, they may not be offering this service that day. However, it certainly never hurts to check if you could not get a reservation! To use the Mobile Dine Walk-Up feature, head to your
My Disney Experience app and click on the “+” in the middle of the navigation bar. Then, click “Check Dining Availability,” add the number of people in your party, and select the current date from the calendar. Then, click on the blue “Now” button, and you will see a list of restaurants and the status of their walk-up list. Pretty easy, right?
I do hope this answer has been helpful to you! Please visit us if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your Walt Disney World vacation!
Bye for now!
