How does my family return to Port Orleans Riverside after our 8pm dinner reservations at O'hana? We will be staying for the fireworks. Last visit we took a taxi back, but this visit we will be traveling with a 20 month old. Is a carseat required?

    Hi Kate,

Anytime a guest asks a question about 'Ohana, I'm immediately sent into dreamland with visions of 'Ohana bread pudding a la mode with bananas-caramel sauce. I have a serious devotion to that Disney dessert and hope you find it just as wonderful!

To get from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to Port Orleans Riverside, I'd return to the Magic Kingdom by either taking the monorail (which is very close to the restaurant) or taking the water launch (boat), which will take you directly to the Magic Kingdom.  Once there, you simply need to walk to the Magic Kingdom Bus Stop and take your resort bus back.

Florida law does require all children under the age of six to be in a child-restraint device. I would imagine because of this that you would be able to find a taxi, especially at Walt Disney World, that has car seats available.  Bell Services at any of the resorts could assist you with this.

Sending you pixie-dusted wishes for a wonderful trip!  Please let us know if we can help again.
