Aloha Holly, and welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for sending us your question. I'm happy to help you prepare for your May escape to tropical paradise.
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort are excellent choices for kicking off summer at
Walt Disney World Resort. Let's dive in!
You are eligible for
resort benefits beginning on your check-in day and ending at midnight on your checkout day. Unfortunately, you cannot attend
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours the night before checking into Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. If this Deluxe Resort perk is vital to your plans, consider shifting your dates by just one day.
I know many Guests enjoy the late nights and lower crowds of Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, so if this appeals to you, I recommend visiting
Magic Kingdom Park when closing time is as late as possible and enjoying attractions following
Happily Ever After, when many families leave the theme park. I like to make my way to Tomorrowland after fireworks, take a spin on the
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover while crowds disperse, and then experience a few attractions before night's end.
Here's something else you might find helpful. You can usually hop into the queue for a ride right up until closing time. In many cases, the posted wait time at the very end of the night exceeds the actual amount of time you'll spend in line. If the park closes at 11, 10:55 is one of the best times to ride
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Get your specialty coffee from Joffrey's Revive earlier in the evening to keep your energy up, then head to Fantasyland to dig for gems with Dopey and friends!
I hope you have a fantastic time on your adventure next month, Holly. Please write back if there's anything else we can help with before you leave, and stay tuned to
our Instagram account to keep up with all the
excitement coming to Walt Disney World this summer. Thanks again for stopping by, and have a magical day.
