Howdy Gloria and welcome back to planDisney!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is my favorite Walt Disney World Resort! I love being so close to the magic of Disney, but also nestled in the "wilderness" of the campground. You can find us tent camping during the cooler months and relaxing in a cabin when it's warmer. Being a
Florida resident give us so many opportunities to enjoy the tranquility of the property.
Since your mother-in-law is not a fellow Florida resident, she is not eligible for any resident discounts that may be offered. To take advantage of any Florida resident
Disney Resort hotel discounts, including campsites, at least one person on the reservation must be a Florida resident and be able to present the proper
proof of residency. If you will all be staying together in the camper, fantastic! Since you are a Florida resident, the discount can be used for your stay.
If your mother-in-law only needs
park tickets, you can purchase those for her at the non-Florida resident price. Tickets can be purchased for a single day or up to 10 days. The more days you add to a ticket, the bigger multi-day discount there is.
I just know you'll love your stay at Fort Wilderness. There are so many fun and unique things to do. My son has really enjoyed taking the
Fort Wilderness Archery Experience. The Archery Guides are so knowledgeable and patient with everyone. My son was hitting the bullseye every time by the end. One of my favorites is the
Wilderness Back Trail Adventure. I did this during a girls' trip one year and we had the best time riding around the trails on Segways. It's a great way to see the campground in a different way.
Make sure you bring marshmallows, or purchase them at the Chuckwagon Snack Bar, to roast for
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long that happens nightly. It's so much fun to meet these two troublemakers while listening to live music and munching on a sweet treat.
Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning questions.
Have a magical day!
