My family has reservations at 7:05pm for the Liberty Tree Tavern on Sept. 12th during MNSSHP. Should we keep these reservations or cancel? We are worried about missing to much of the party. 7:05 was the only time available.

To be honest with you Tanya, I would cancel.  You pay a lot of money for your party tickets; do you really want to waste any of your precious party time sitting in a restaurant?  I wouldn't.  Typically, you can expect character meals to last anywhere between one and two hours.  Remember that the party only lasts five hours.  Besides the attractions that you'll want to visit, there are fireworks and parades to see, candy to be had, and characters to greet.  In years past there have also been dance parties with the characters and free face painting stations set up in the park.  My recommendation would be to cancel the Liberty Tree reservation and opt instead to eat an early dinner elsewhere.  Keep in mind that you'll likely be able to use your party ticket to gain entry to the Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00.  Perhaps you can get a reservation at Tony's or the Plaza.  If not, I would grab a bite in one of the counter service restaurants well before the party officially begins so that when the festivities kick off you'll be ready to go!  Hope that helps.

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists.
