Bright suns, Lee! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel on your way to the planet Batuu.
When you visit
Droid Depot at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, you're sure to find the droids you are looking for. The experience of building your own custom astromech droid takes place within the larger Droid Depot shop. Any guest is welcome to explore the shop and purchase a wide variety of droid related merchandise. A small section of the shop is fenced off, and this is where the droid building experience takes place. Due to the limited space in this section of the building, the build your own droid experience is limited to the builder and only one guest.
With two reservations for the droid building experience, four members of your party will be able to enter the droid assembly area. Although there will not be room for the fifth member of your party to enter this area of the shop, he or she will be able to watch the experience from a few feet away, behind the fence. My friend and fellow Panelist,
Tony, recently took his kids to Droid Depot at Disneyland Resort. He said he had no trouble viewing from behind the fence while his children constructed a droid.
Did you know that when you build your droids at Droid Depot, you will have the option to purchase additional accessories for them? You can purchase personality chips for your droids so that they will show allegiance to either the First Order or the Resistance. Your droids will be the perfect traveling companions as you explore Black Spire Outpost. They will even interact with the land itself during your visit! Before your trip to a galaxy far, far away, be sure to download
Star Wars: Datapad on the Play Disney Parks mobile app to further enhance your Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge experience.
'Til the Spires,
Samantha
