my family has reservations to attend Disney on april 2 and 4th and animal kingdom on march 31st. My question is how bad should we expect the crowds to be during this time. will we be able to ride a lot or should I expect to only do a few things?

    Hi Sandy,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

You'll be visiting during a very popular week. In my personal experience, the key to enjoying your park time on the more popular days is to do just as you said — set expectations and prioritize your plans for what you'll enjoy the most. Is there a favorite must-ride attraction? A character you're so looking forward to meeting? A fireworks show you simply don't want to miss?

If you haven't already, do make your FastPass+ selections to help you enjoy attractions without waiting in the standby queue. If you'll be staying at a Walt Disney World resort, check out the online calendar for Extra Magic Hours.

Keep in mind the parks will likely schedule longer operating hours on these popular days. Pace yourself and have fun and take in all you can during the park's full operating hours.

Here's another time saving tip I can offer. With a Disney Dining Plan, you can place a mobile order for your food. On my last visit, by taking advantage of the Disney Dining Plan and mobile ordering, I saved a half hour or more that I would have had to spend in line at the restaurant.

Remember to use the mobile app to monitor attraction wait times so you can adjust your plans as you go about your day.

There's so much to see and do! They key, I think, is to start with a plan for your must-do experiences and sprinkle in lots of spontaneity for all the magic.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
