My family and I have a reservation for Mickeys Storytellers breakfast tomorrow at 7:30. Are we able to park at the Grand Californian hotel?

Greetings, Elizabeth, and welcome to planDisney! You're in for a treat – Storytellers Cafe is a fantastically fun experience, with great food and table-side Character encounters. Let's make sure you're set for a smooth arrival!

I have good news for you, Elizabeth: Storytellers Cafe currently provides three hours of complimentary valet or self-parking (your choice!) at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Just make sure to have the restaurant validate your parking ticket.

If you choose valet parking, just turn into the hotel from Disneyland Drive and let the Cast Member at the parking booth know that you have a Storytellers Cafe reservation. I usually bring a few dollars to tip the valet when I pick up my car. If you prefer self-parking, turn toward Pixar Place Hotel at the light instead. You'll find a surface lot on the right, and from there it's a short walk across the street to breakfast.

Storytellers Cafe is probably my favorite Character Dining location at the Disneyland Resort. The restaurant is so cozy inside with an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. You'll love it! Don't miss the omelet station and Mickey Waffles. And here's another tip: If anyone in your group has a dietary request, let the host and your server know that you'd like to speak with a chef about dietary preferences. Everyone I've dined with here has always left very satisfied (and full).

In my experience, breakfast at Storytellers Cafe usually takes around 90 minutes. You should have plenty of time to get back to your car before the three hours of complimentary parking runs out. If you stay longer, just be aware that the daily standard rates would apply.

Before we say goodbye, here's a fun thought for your next visit: If you spend $125 or more in a single transaction at Tenaya Stone Spa, you'll receive 5 hours of complimentary parking at the hotel. I came here for a massage on my birthday, and the super easy parking experience just added to the feeling of being pampered. I highly recommend it.

Elizabeth, I hope you have a wonderful time at Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet. If you think of any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
