My family has a reservation for Crystal Palace at 7:05am next week. We've never had an ADR before park opening. How early can we arrive, and do we have to go through the main entrance? Is there a chance of getting good photos with extra magic hours?

    Hey Emily-

Welcome back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Early dining reservations in Magic Kingdom Park are my preference because you get time in the theme park with fewer Guests and eating with my friends from the Hundred Acre Wood at The Crystal Palace is Tiggerriffic!

The week between Christmas and New Years offers Extra Magic Hours beginning at 7:00 a.m. You should arrive at the gates of Magic Kingdom Park by 6:45 a.m. When you get to Magic Kingdom Park you will see a Cast Member with a clip board checking Guests for early dining reservations or tours, typically on the left side. You will be directed to a line to wait until they open the theme park to these Guests. Since your dining reservation coincides with Morning Extra Magic Hours the crowds will be a bit heavier than normal. General admission will not begin until the theme park officially opens at 8:00 a.m.

Disney Dad Tip: Once inside, the light crowds provide a perfect opportunity for special photos of Cinderella Castle, buildings on Main Street, U.S.A. and attractions in Fantasyland.

    Bon appetit!

Emily, enjoy making and eating many Magical Memories!
