Hi Jamie,
Welcome to planDisney!
As exciting as a visit to the Walt Disney World® Resort is, I can understand your desire to determine how to best support your wife during your visit. My family has used the
services for guests with disabilities on prior visits and those services have truly made our time in the parks much more manageable. When you arrive to the U.S., you can access the video chat feature to speak with someone about the services for guests with disabilities that your wife might need. One of our resident experts for guests from the United Kingdom,
Sue, has provided some information on this process.
As you plan for your visit, I also have a few other suggestions to consider. If you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection or other select hotel, you can access
Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests. If you are staying a Disney deluxe or deluxe villa resort hotel, you will also have access to
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. Using these special hours for Disney resort hotel guests has certainly helped us better navigate the parks and resorts.
As you plan, if you have not already done so, make some
advanced dining reservations. Dining reservations help my family to make sure we have some planned (and air-conditioned) breaks during our summer visits. Those reservations help us reduce the time that we wait in lines for food.
Jamie, we are starting the countdown for you since your visit is approaching soon! My family has been very grateful for all of the help we have received in the parks and resorts. Cast members truly have helped us navigate a number of challenges!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
