    My family is registered to run the Jingle Jungle 5K on 11-8-14. I am a DVC member and will be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for this event. Will any kind of transportation be provided from here or will we have to take a cab to the events?

    Don't you just love being a Disney Vacation Club Member? My family is as well, and it sure makes traveling for runDisney events much easier as a family of five. 

    Unfortunately, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is not considered a "Host Hotel" during Disney's Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, which is the race weekend Mickey's Jingle Jungle 5k is being held-- so Race Transportation provided by runDisney will not be available from this resort. Taking a cab is a viable option if you do not have personal transportation. My biggest piece of advice if you do take a cab would be to make sure it is a MEARS cab, this is the cab service Disney endorses.
