My family recently took a 3 day cruise, and regarding dining attire we were able to wear khaki shorts and polo shirt at all 3 dining locations. On a 4 day cruise, will we be required to wear slacks?  I have read mix reports.

    Hi Lawrence!

Thank you so much for using the Disney Parks Moms Panel as a planning resource for your Disney Cruise vacation - we're happy to help!

One of the best things about a Disney Cruise is that most nights, dining attire will be "cruise casual". We like to dress for dinner like we would normally dress for a nice date night or dinner out, but lean toward dressy casual. Nice khaki shorts and a polo shirt are perfectly fine for casual evenings.

On a four-night sailing, you'll have two "Cruise Casual Nights," one "Pirate Night," and one optional "Dress-Up Night." The suggested attire is as follows:

Cruise Casual Nights: No Swimwear or Tank Tops (dressy shorts are ok)
Pirate Night: Pirate Attire (including full costumes)
"Dress-Up" Night: Jacket for men. Dress or pant-suit for women.

Many cruisers will take advantage of the ship's photographers on Dress-Up Night, having photos taken in the Lobby Atrium when they're dressed in their best. Of course, dressing up IS optional, and it's up to you if you want to do so. You'll see guests in everything from dressy shorts to cocktail dresses on this evening!

I hope this helps with your planning and packing! - Diane W.
