Our family is purchasing tickets separately. Do we need to reserve at the same time?

    Greetings Jessica, welcome to planDisney!

Grand gatherings of family and friends are so much more memorable at the Walt Disney World Resort. The core memories that you will make will last for years to come. Your family has picked a great time to visit too. EPCOT’s International Flower and Garden Festival will still be in full bloom and the World’s Most Magical Celebration will continue.

The first thing I do when planning an extended family vacation is to make sure the “planners” of the family are connected to each other in My Disney Experience on the “My Family & Friends” list. Make sure that you are sharing your list of family members in your immediate family. This will make it easier to coordinate and share all your plans. To add someone to your list, log in to My Disney Experience online or in the mobile app. Go to My Profile and then to your Family & Friends list. Scroll to the bottom of your list and tap “+Add a Guest” remember to answer “Yes, share my Family & Friends list.” Add this Guest by entering their name, exactly as it appears on their account, and age and agree to “Share Planning with this Guest” and enter their email address. They will receive an invitation via email to connect with you. Once they have accepted, you will receive a push notification in My Disney Experience.

Once everyone in your entire travel party has a Theme Park Ticket linked to their names in My Disney Experience, you can make Disney Park Pass Reservations. Be sure to check the Theme Park Availability Calendar to make sure there is availability for the parks you are planning to visit. You can make your reservations by tapping the “+” in the mobile app or the My Plans tab online. Choose the proper ticket type, you may be asked to sign in to your account again. Create your travel party from everyone on your Family & Friends list, choose the date and select the park you wish to visit, and confirm your choices. Repeat this process for each day you will be visiting a theme park. If you have Park Hopper tickets, you will not need to make reservations for the park you would like to hop to after 2:00 PM.

You are going to have so much fun, remember to purchase a Memory Maker to capture all the core memories. Since everyone is connected on your Family and Friends list, up to 25 Guests can add PhotoPass Photos to a Memory Maker account. You will have access to unlimited downloads of your photos for 45 days from the date they are taken. Giving you the ability to post and share your precious memories with your family.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
