    My family purchased tickets using the military discount. Does the military member need to be with us at the park? Can we activate our tickets at the resort?

    Hello Tiana!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so thrilled to answer a question from a Guest that has the name of my favorite Disney Princess – and which also happens to be my name too!

    Military promotional tickets can only be activated by the eligible service member or their spouse. The service member needs to present a valid military ID, and if the spouse is activating the tickets they will need to present their dependent ID card. Please note that all members of your party must be present with valid IDs at the time the tickets are activated, and that one of the tickets purchased must be used by the eligible service member or his/her spouse.

    You can activate tickets at all four theme park ticket windows, at both water parks, and at Guest Relations located at all theme parks and also at Disney Springs. I recommend activating tickets at Guest Relations in Disney Springs the day or evening before you plan to start using them, which will save you time during your first park visit.
