Hi! My family and I just purchased Premium Annual Passes for 2014. I was wondering how we get magic bands for use at the park instead of the cards. If we stay at a resort can we link the magic band to our annual passes for the whole year?

    Hi Rebecca!

Disney is currently still in the testing phase for Magic Bands in Walt Disney World so things are not written in stone yet or even completely finalized with Magic Bands yet. Currently as I am answering your question, all of the Walt Disney World Resorts are issuing Magic Bands to their Guests even if they are only staying for one night, so you could book a one night stay at a Walt Disney World Resort to get your Magic Band.  Once you have your Magic Band, then you can link your Annual Pass to it and use that same Magic Band to get into the parks for the full year that your Annual Pass is good for.  Eventually in 2014, Magic Bands will be offered to Annual Pass Holders without an overnight stay in a Walt Disney World Resort (if you are willing to wait a little while then you can get a Magic Band without having an overnight stay at a Walt Disney World Resort but no official date for this to happen has been announced yet).

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
