Robert from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My family purchased 3-day SoCal resident passes, but one family member could not make it on the first day. Is it alright to use their ticket for a friend who is also a SoCal resident?

Hello, Robert, and welcome to planDisney! Good on you for taking advantage of the limited Southern California Resident Ticket offer. For those who qualify, it's a fantastic deal!

To answer your question, as long as the ticket has yet to be used, and the friend meets the eligibility requirements (meaning they reside within ZIP codes 90000 and 93599 and can show an ID with a valid photo and Southern California address on it), the answer to your question, Robert, is yes! However, and this is important, once the park ticket is used by your friend, only that friend may use it, as the SoCal Resident Ticket is non-transferable after first use.

Or, if you're not ready to give your SoCal Ticket away entirely, I have another option for you, Robert! Did you know, Guests can change reservation dates at any time, for any of their tickets? It's okay your family member couldn't go that particular day, because not all of you have to go on the same dates! Your family member can just pick another day! To change a park reservation, you'll need to actually cancel your reservation and then book a new one. You can do this in either the Disneyland app or on the Disneyland website

Just make sure to use all three days before the May 15, 2025 expiration! I also recommend that you change your dates sooner rather than later, as reservations usually do fill up quickly for this ticket type.

As you're thinking about when to visit the Happiest Place on Earth, remember that the Food & Wine Festival will be happening February 28th through April 21st in California Adventure! One of my favorite parts about this particular festival (besides the delicious bites, of course) is the return of Soarin' Over California, for a limited time. My family loves this attraction, and I have to admit, it's my very favorite.

I hope this information has been helpful for you, Robert. If you have any additional questions about your upcoming visits to the parks, or you'd like me to share some of my tips and recommendations for a truly magical day, please stop by again anytime. Even when I'm not physically at the Happiest Place on Earth, I truly feel that same joy when I can help others (you!) experience the magic of Disneyland too.

    Warmest wishes,
    McCayla
