Welcome to
planDisney, Isabella!
You must be so excited to plan your return to
Walt Disney World in 2021--so many new adventures have been added since your last visit!
As a teacher, my family and I often visit The Most Magical Place on Earth during the summer months, so I'll include some tips on how to stay cool when touring in June and July.
You may recall from your last visit that summers in Central Florida can be hot, but are often no warmer than many other regions throughout the country (including summers in my eastern Pennsylvania hometown). The average high in June and July is in the low 90s. As such, we like to travel in lightweight, wicking clothing, as that not only keeps us cooler on sunny days, the fabric also dries more rapidly if we get caught outdoors in an afternoon rainstorm. Head to the parks early, before the height of the heat, then return to your
Walt Disney World Resort hotel for a refreshing swim, a shower and change of clothes, then head back out for a delicious dinner and more park or resort fun later in the afternoon/early evening.
Park experiences are always changing, so the best place to keep up-to-date on offerings is by checking out each location's website and by reading
Disney Parks Blog. For example, Walt Disney World's website currently features posts on how to use the
Disney Park Pass System,
Dining: Know Before You Go,
Disney Resort Hotels: Know Before You Go, as well as updates on what's happening at
Disney Springs.
Over at
Disneyland, you'll find the latest information on their website, too, including this great overview
Return to a Land of Magic.
In short, as you plan your June/July visit to Walt Disney World, check out these updates, then bring your questions back to us here at planDisney. We love to help you maximize the magic on your Disney vacations!
