Would like to get family portraits done when we are there in July, where would the best resort to have these done? Was going to go to magic kingdom but they don't do them there. Thanks so much for your help. There will be me, my husband and d age 9.

    Hi Crystal,

My family had a photo session at Walt Disney World for the first time during our visit at Thanksgiving last year. I was thrilled with the photos and with the experience.

We were staying at the Polynesian and had our mini portrait session there. The photographer posed us in three spots amid the lush greenery and on the beach with Cinderella Castle in the background. I highly recommend that location. We got almost 100 images on the spot on a flash drive.

Other options for the mini sessions include the Grand Floridian, Beach Club, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Art of Animation resort. I'm sure you can get beautiful portraits done at any of those resorts and would choose based on which you think would make the most appealing background.

You can find more information about the portrait sessions on the Disney Fine Art Photography & Video site.

Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. I hope you are able to capture portraits that will remind you of your time together at Walt Disney World for years to come, no matter which location you choose.

    Enjoy!
