My family plans on visiting Disney CA Adventure for the Lunar New Year activities. However, my son fractured his arm and he is now in an arm cast. Are there any accommodations for us regarding rides, etc? He would be crushed if he can’t go to Disney.

Hi, Sandy! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I am so sorry to hear about your son's broken arm, but glad to tell you that this shouldn't impede on your visit to the Disneyland Resort much, if at all! As long as he has clearance from his doctor and the cast doesn't interfere with any safety restraints, then there aren't any specific restrictions that would keep him from riding attractions that he feels comfortable riding. If the cast needs to be kept dry, then he should definitely avoid Grizzly River Run. Pirates of the Caribbean might also splash you a bit, so I would plan on protecting the cast with an article of clothing or a poncho while on this attraction.

Definitely read about any attractions that you may have concerns about and watch ride-through videos on YouTube if you aren't familiar with the attraction. These will give you a good idea whether you should skip an attraction or two this time around. Since you'll be enjoying the Lunar New Year Celebration, make sure to stop by the Lucky Wishing Wall to leave your wish for a speedy and healthy recovery for your son's arm.

I hope your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is full of magic and memories!
