My family plans on staying at a resort for our stay. However, we have a member of our party that won’t be able to go to the parks for health reasons. Is there a way to buy a resort package without buying tickets for them?

    Hi Devynne! Welcome to planDisney!

It looks like you are planning a fabulous Walt Disney World Resort vacation! How exciting! Well, you are bound to have an incredible time no matter when you plan to visit! Did you know that if you arrive any time in 2022, you’ll make it in time to enjoy Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration? You really can feel the excitement in the air from the moment you arrive, and you certainly won't want the celebration to end! There is something magical around every corner, from the special EARidescent foods to exciting new attractions like Remy's Ratatouille Adventure! I am just so excited for you and your family to experience the magic!

Devynne, if you’re booking a vacation package that includes your Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation and theme park tickets, the package would need to be the same for all guests on your reservation. Meaning you would not be able to book tickets as a part of your package for only a select number of Guests in your party. So, in this case, you will need to make a room-only reservation and then purchase your theme part tickets separately for everyone visiting the parks.

To book a room-only reservation, visit the Explore Resorts Hotel page on the Walt Disney World website and follow the steps to secure your reservation. Once you get to the “Add Theme Park Tickets” section of the booking process, just select “No Ticket” and proceed to finalize your reservations. Then, once your room-only reservation is secured, head over to the Theme Park Tickets page to purchase the tickets for your party, and you are all set!

Once you have your tickets secured, don't forget to book your Park Pass Reservations for the dates you plan to visit the theme parks. As a reminder, you'll need to make a reservation for the first park you plan to visit each day. Then, if you have added the Park Hopper Option to your tickets, you can hop over to another park starting at 2 p.m. each day.

I do hope this has been helpful! If you have any other vacation planning questions, please do revisit here at planDisney! We would absolutely love to help you make the move of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

    See you real soon!
