Lisa from MI Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Our family plans to stay at the Grand Floridian for awhile this summer. Are you able to provide pricing and guidelines for renting a cabana there for our resort day. We would also love to receive info on catch and release fishing there by boat.

    Hiya, Lisa!

Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney.  How exciting that you are planning a magical trip to Walt Disney World Resort this summer.  The Victorian elegance of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa really makes you feel like you are staying in your very own castle. Plus, its proximity to Magic Kingdom Park being right on the Monorail makes it one of my favorite Disney Resort Hotels.

Lisa, taking an off-park day to enjoy a luxury Cabana by the pool and enjoying a Bass Fishing Excursion are great ways to maximize the magic during your vacation.  We always love to take an off-park day and enjoy all of the other magical activities on property outside the theme parks.

I did discover, Lisa, that the Cabanas at The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa range in price depending on your dates and they are subject to change, so we can't give exact pricing.  But, typically, they range from $180-$300 (prices subject to change) depending on if you are booking a half-day or full-day.

The Cabanas are a lovely sanctuary that includes amenities such as television, cocktail service, complimentary sodas, towels, a locker, and a dedicated Cast Member. Typically, they accommodate no more than six individuals, not counting any Guest under age of three. To find out the exact pricing for when you are planning to visit, you should reach out to the Recreation Team. They will be able to provide you with the pricing and help you to lock in your reservation. Summer and early Fall are some of the best times to be at the pool, so Cabanas are likely to book quickly, so be sure to make your reservation as soon as possible.

For the Bass Fishing Excursions, you can do these from a number of locations to search for fish on the Seven Seas Lagoon, including the Grand Floridian.  You can choose from Guided Bass Fishing Excursions, which includes a 21-foot Sun Tracker pontoon boat that can accommodate up to 5 Guests, and a tournament-style NITRO bass fishing boat for up to 3 Guests. Both 2-hour and 4-hour excursions are offered, and if available, an extra hour may be added in person at the Marina.
Prices for these activities also vary depending on your dates and are subject to change, but typically they range anywhere from $270 - $455 (prices subject to change.)  To book, contact the Recreation Team.

I hope this helps you, Lisa. If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, stop back and see me and I'll be most happy to help you.

    See ya real soon!
