My family plans on spending 1 day in Animal Kingdom (with reservation for dinner at Tusker House). What do you suggest we plan to do after dinner when AK is closed?

Hi Joanie!  My family often pairs up some time in Downtown Disney when we have a day at the Animal Kingdom Park.  This is a great place to stroll in the evenings as you can find great shops to browse in and street entertainment to enjoy.  If you save room from your yummy dinner at Tusker House you can stop in at the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain for a sundae, malt, or float.  Another great option for something sweet is Goofy's Candy Store!

You might also consider just heading back to your resort and having a relaxing evening by the pool.  After a day in the park it is good to find time to do absolutely nothing for a few hours. It will rejuvenate you for the next day's activities.  One of the biggest mistakes guests do is try to see and accomplish everything at Walt Disney World in just a few short days.  They return home so tired that they have to take a vacation from their vacation!  Pick and choose activities for this trip and then make a list of all the neat things you want to do on your next.  In addition Disney is always adding new things so no matter how many times you have visited in the past you can always find something to do!
