Hey there, Joseph. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
Park hopping is my absolute favorite way to spend a Disney day and I'm happy to tell you that park hopping officially returned to us at the start of this year. In August, if you purchase the park hopper option, you will absolutely be able to enjoy park hopping during your vacation. Since its return, park hopping does look a little bit different than it did before.
Here's what you need to know:
- To park hop, you must have standard theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Then, you'll need to make a park pass reservation for an initial theme park you want to visit each day.
- On the day of, you'll need to scan in and enter the park with the park pass reservation first before continuing on to other theme parks later in the day
- Park hopping now starts at 2:00 p.m. and lasts until each park closes in the evening
- It is not necessary to make multiple park pass reservations for a single day to park hop. You only need to make an initial park pass reservation each day
- To make park hopping a little bit easier for Guests, at this time complimentary park-to-park bus transportation is currently being provided.
So, just to clarify, you are able to park hop every day after 2:00 p.m. if you have the park hopper ticket. You will still need to visit the park pass reservation website and make park pass reservations for each day of your trip. After you've visited that theme park and the clock strikes 2:00 p.m. you are free to visit any and all other Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
In between park hopping, my family and I usually make a stopover at the Walt Disney World Resort Hotel's pool that we happen to be staying at. It's a perfect way to cool down from the hot Florida sun midday. Currently, restrictions at the pool are looking like less and less due to restrictions being lifted throughout all of Walt Disney World. The only thing that I've seen Cast Members asking is for people to not move the chairs around. They are spread out in groups that help promote physical distancing but that's about it.
I hope this helps, Joseph. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm here to help!
Have a great day!
