Hello Ian! It's great to have you visit again! Your family is going to be well prepared due to your impressive preparation skills! You are far from a
Bashful Disney-planner! So, it sounds like you have a party of seven! That's a great number to travel with at the Walt Disney World Resort. I hope my answer will make you
Happy!
Many Disney Resort Hotels are close to at least one of the Disney Parks. We visit
Magic Kingdom Park the most during our vacations so we tend to stay at one of the resorts linked to the
Monorail. This includes Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Contemporary Resort. These are some of the best resorts on property and won't leave anyone feeling
Grumpy! Out of these three choices, we prefer
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa!
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Riviera Resort,
Disney's Pop Century, and
Disney's Art of Animation Resort are all linked to another great mode of transportation - the
Disney Skyliner! This gondola ride won't make you
Sleepy as you'll have great views of the Most Magical Place on Earth as this magic carpet ride through the sky carries you off to either
Disney's Hollywood Studios or
EPCOT! You'll find Pop Century and Art of Animation to be a bit more reasonably priced for your large group. Disney's Art of Animation Resort is full of Disney Magic at every turn! Your five year old will love the Disney theme of this resort while your teems will enjoy the proximity to Disney's Hollywood Studios!
And, finally, I sure would be
Dopey if I didn't give you a recommendation of a great Disney Resort Hotel close to the wild fun of
Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge gets you right into the savanna as some rooms provide views of Disney's resident animal inhabitants! I have found Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to be quite kid-friendly!
Ian, there are many other fantastic
Disney Resort Hotels but the ones I've recommended in this answer will get your party of seven closest to the magic of the four Disney Parks! Consider me your very own Disney
Doc! By the way, if you happen to see Sneezy, tell him I said "hello!" I knew I could get him in this answer!
