My family has plans to go to WDW July 29-August8. We have reservations for dinner at Chef Mickey's on our first night. Are we able to use the pools at the Contemporary before our reservation? And is it true that we can see the fireworks from the resort?

    Hi James!

It is so awesome that you and your family have a Walt Disney World vacation planned in the near future! Guests are permitted to use and enjoy the pools at the Walt Disney World Resort that they are staying at but not the pools at the other Walt Disney World Resorts even if you have Advanced Dining Reservations there. Yes, you can see Wishes fireworks from the Contemporary Resort on the Seven Seas Lagoon side (the side of the Contemporary Resort that faces Magic Kingdom).  The higher up in the Contemporary Resort that you can get, the better your view of Wishes will be (the absolute best view is from the California Grill at the top of the Contemporary Resort). If you watch from Wishes from the ground level at the Contemporary Resort, then all that you will see is the largest fireworks bursts. You will not be able to see fireworks while you are dining at Chef Mickey's because all of the windows in Chef Mickey's face Bay Lake.

I hope that your next Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical for both you and your family!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
