Hey, howdy, hey, Petrine!
Yee-haw! A family reunion at the Disneyland Resort sounds like a
rootin’ tootin’ good time. Unfortunately, we won’t be heading down from the Beehive State to enjoy the
Disneyland Resort theme parks at
this time. Though, we are anxiously looking forward to the day when The Happiest Place on Earth is
able to fully reopen.
While we don’t know how long it will last once the system is in place, we know that the current plan is for a park reservation to be required for each Guest who will be visiting a theme park after they begin opening again. Details for how the park reservation system will work for Guests the Disneyland Resort have not yet been released. You’ll want to keep an eye on the
Disneyland Resort website and the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest information as soon as it is released.
While we are waiting for details to be released about the upcoming park reservation system for the Disneyland Resort, there are a few things that my family and I are doing to be as prepared as we can. First, I make sure to have the latest version of the
Disneyland app downloaded to our mobile devices. Before sales of new tickets were temporarily suspended, I had purchased some
theme park tickets. I also have these tickets linked within the Disneyland app under my account. We also have
hotel reservations in place in anticipation for the next time we plan to drive down I-15 toward our
laughing place.
Tony’s Tip: At this time, hotel-only reservations are being accepted for stays at the Disneyland Resort Hotels from September 1, 2020, through December 31, 2020. Booking a hotel stay for the next year is usually available before the end of August. Though plans for that may be somewhat different this year.
Vacation Packages are not available at this time. Guests wishing to visit the parks during the initial stages of the phased reopening of the Disneyland Resort must already have theme park tickets or Annual Passports. Guests booking hotel stays during these initial re-opening times may also need to cancel or reschedule as the Disneyland Resort awaits guidance from local government officials regarding a safe reopening.
I’m really looking forward to returning to the whole Disneyland Resort. I’m sure you are too. In the meantime, I hope you stay safe and enjoy as much Disney magic as you can
at home or at the recently-reopened
Downtown Disney District.
See ya soon!
