Hey there, hi there, Chris! Welcome to planDisney! Can you believe that your vacation to the Disneyland Resort is just two months away?! It’s time to put those finishing touches on all of the magical details of your trip.
I took a look at the calendar of
Disneyland After Dark events, and you’re right—it looks like you’ll just miss
Star Wars Nite! But not to worry, young Padawan—even though you may be a bit on the “Dark Side” on the timing, another wonderful celebration awaits you!
While this isn’t a special ticketed event, I’m excited to share with you that the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival will be in full swing during your visit! Since you’ll be coming from all the way across the country, this will be your golden ticket to taste your way across the Golden State without even leaving the park! I just love the
Festival Marketplaces. They're like a treasure hunt, with each marketplace offering delicious new discoveries. The portions are also pixie-sized—enough to savor, but leaving plenty of room to sample all of the culinary creations. And, you can’t forget about dessert! I have my fingers crossed that they’ll bring back the Snickers macaron this year. Yum!
There’s also some great entertainment to be discovered! I'm personally a huge fan of
Cookin’ with the Jammin’ Chefs. These aren't your average cooks—they're musical maestros who transform everyday kitchenware into instruments of pure percussive joy! It's a toe-tapping, hand-clapping good time, especially when some of Mickey's pals show up!
And Chris, since you're coming from the East Coast, I'm wondering if you've had the chance to experience the magic of California before? If not, I've got a special tip just for you:
Soarin’ Over California will be returning during the Food & Wine Festival! For a limited time, Soarin' Around the World will transform back to its original California glory, a nostalgic nod to its debut when Disney California Adventure Park first opened its gates in 2001. It's a breathtaking aerial tour you won't want to miss!
While there may not be other separately-ticketed events during your visit, don't you worry, Chris!
Disneyland Park is brimming with enchantment!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened in November, and I finally had a chance to experience it myself just last month! This ride has it all. There’s so much beautiful scenery—and I just love those playful critters who make appearances throughout the ride. And about that big splashdown at the end? Anaheim in April typically enjoys delightful mid-70s weather, perfect for a little bayou refreshment! If you're concerned, a poncho should do the trick—I wore one on a cooler January day and stayed nice and dry!
Chris, I hope this has been more helpful than finding a hidden Mickey! No special ticketed events? No problem! You're still in for a magical vacation. We're here to help with any last-minute questions, so don't be a stranger! Have a wonderful time at the Disneyland Resort!
