Hi! My family and I are planning to come to WDW in 2013. We had friends and family that told us that if we bought a season pass we would also get a discount on the hotels in WDW is this true? If so how much is the discount? What hotels are avaliable?thanks

Hi Nathan! The Disney Annual Passes are a great buy if you are planning to be at the parks for about 11 days or more. It is not a value if you are going for a week or less or plan a week or less time in the actual parks.

The Annual Pass discounts can be quite nice but it is a hit or miss situation. They are almost unheard of during peak times and more likely to be found in the Value or Regular time periods. There are exceptions but the other big issue is that they are more often not released until 2-4 months out. Planning for a family vacation can be tough with such short notice for many.

The discounted rooms are limited in number and not available for all dates at all resorts. Your selection will depend on the offers at the resorts. If you don't get something on your first call keep trying. Discounts are generally about 20-35% of regular rates. The weekends might not be included in the discount and you would then be charged the normal night rate so be careful you are booking a resort where that will still fit into the budget. Discounts can cover all three categories of resorts, Value, Moderate, and Deluxe.

Good luck....we try to use our own discount whenever we can!
