    My family and I are planning a 2 week trip to WDW. We plan to buy annual passes upon our arrival. I am wondering what form these passes will come in? Will we get a magic band, card, a paper ticket etc?

    Hi Susan,

    Congratulations on your upcoming TWO WEEKER vacation!  And double hooray on becoming an Annual Passholder!  This summer my husband and I became proud owners of our first Annual Passes too.  We were so proud of our first Annual Passes that we took our picture with them and posted on Social Media.

    Currently when you purchase an Annual Pass while you are in Walt Disney World you will receive a hard (plastic) RFID-enabled ticket.  If you also have an active MagicBand, you can have the Cast Member at the ticket window associated it with your Annual Pass at the same time.  Simply bring your MagicBands with you when you purchase your Annual Pass.  You can use either your hard ticket Annual Pass or your MagicBand interchangeably during your vacation.

    After your Annual Passholder purchase you will also be able to order and customize an Annual Passholder MagicBand through My Disney Experience and it will be mailed to you.  However ordering another MagicBand is optional and you do not have to customize another MagicBand if you do not want one.  Any of your active MagicBands will reflect your Annual Passholder information.  Personally I found it fun to order another MagicBand.  I've almost collected every color and like to take a few with me on my vacations to color coordinate my outfits.
