Ahoy, Sherri!
The Disney Cruise Alaskan voyage is a magnificent experience and I'm sure you and your family will enjoy the picturesque beauty that Alaska offers. Our family really enjoyed this adventure and it was a wonderful change to the usual beach and sun-bathing activities that we have grown accustomed to doing, while on the Disney Cruise. This refreshing voyage is an action-packed educational and fun escapade rolled into one.
There weren't any whale sightings while we were on the ship itself. There were, on occasion, some dolphins swimming right next to the ship and it felt like a nice send off when we left each port. We really wanted to see whales and wildlife, and we surely got a whole lot of viewing on our
Best of Juneau Port Adventure. Seeing a whale breach was so spectacular, and seeing it more than a dozen times as it lunged and surfaced repeatedly, was a jaw-dropping moment each time. I didn't want to blink! I found this port adventure so worthwhile, since we also got a chance to visit Mendenhall Glacier and the interactive visitor center there. This port adventure also had a tasty lunch included in the package, as we approached Orca Point Lodge midday. The kids were very engaged with the activities and the onboard Naturalist who accompanied us was so knowledgeable. There are a lot of picture perfect moments, so make sure you keep your camera handy and ready.
I hope that this helps. Check out the
adventures that await here! Please let us know if you need additional information to help plan your upcoming cruise.
