Welcome to planDisney, Jon! Thanks so much for reaching out with this question! I'm happy to see you are planning a family vacation at The Happiest Place on Earth!

We have traveled to Disneyland Resort with our large multi-generational family of 14 before, so I know how important family time can be. Because you are less than 60 days from your arrival date, you should be able to make advanced dining reservations. While it can be a challenge to secure a dining reservation for a large group, I have a couple of suggestions that I hope will help. If you have another adult in your group that can check for dining reservations, you could split up the number of people when you search for availability. For example, you could check for a party of 10, and the other person could check for a party of 6 and aim to reserve the same time or within 15 minutes of each other. In my experience, the cast members at the restaurant will do their best to accommodate your request to be seated together. You might also have success choosing a location that is larger and has more seating. Some restaurants that come to mind are Wine Country Trattoria at Disney California Adventure Park and Cafe Orleans at Disneyland Park. You could also try making a reservation at Goofy's Kitchen or Storytellers Cafe which would be especially fun for the kids in your family! At Downtown Disney District, I suggest checking for dining availability at Naples Ristorante e Bar and Tortilla Jo's. I find that dining reservations sometimes pop up early in the morning and could also appear 24 hours or less from the date you would like to reserve due to last-minute cancellations.

Another tip I have while you're visiting is to download the Disneyland Mobile app and utilize Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering for other meal times when you don't have dining reservations. It will make it easier and will save time which can be spent riding more attractions

Jon, I hope my suggestions help and you will be able to get the dining reservations you want. I'm wishing you and your 'Ohana the most magical vacation filled with lots of fun, food, and special memories!

Please stop by planDisney again if we can answer any additional questions.

    Happy Planning!
