Hi there! My family and I are planning on visiting during Thanksgiving break. What is to be expected when it comes to weather? And is there anything else we should be aware of during this time?

    Hi Ariel,

    Welcome to planDisney!

What a lovely time of year to plan a visit to the Walt Disney World® Resort! of course, I have to say, I am quite delighted to greet a Disney princess!

When I have visited in November, the weather has been warm yet not too hot. No matter the month that we visit, we bring rain gear including ponchos, umbrellas, and different shoes (in case one pair gets soaked). We also always bring a lightweight jacket for everyone.

The good news is that you are visiting during the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort. This is my family's favorite time of year to visit. Keep an eye on Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The special treats, character experiences, and music make this such a phenomenal experience. The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will also start this year on November 29th. So keep an eye out for news about the Candlelight Processional. My girls and I always make an advanced dining reservation for a Candlelight Processional Dining Package so that we can get access to the show. In the past, there have been three show times, and we typically did one of the earlier times.

Ariel, I trust that you will continue the practically perfect planning! May you continue to channel a hopeful princess spirit as you decide what to do on your visit. Sending a little extra pixie dust hoping that your countdown will go smoothly!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
