I’m happy to help with your question because it combines two things I love talking about. Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools and weather!
The historic averages vary from website to website, but generally speaking, the average high temperature in Orlando in late October is in the low 80s and low temperatures dip into the 60s (degrees in Fahrenheit). Everyone has their own definition for what constitutes “swimming weather,” but I think those temperatures are plenty comfortable for a pool day. And not only that, but Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools are heated to a comfortable 82 degrees year-round. So the water should still be very nice even if an unseasonal cold snap hits Florida.
My family has visited Walt Disney World numerous times during January and February, and there was no keeping my kids out of the pool even when the highs were only in the 60s. In fact, many of those nights it was warmer in the pool than sitting outside it. Mother Nature is unpredictable, so it’s always possible that an extreme cold front (by Florida standards) could temporarily close the pools and water parks, but this is a pretty rare event, especially in October.
