Amie from TX Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Hi my family and I are planning a visit in early February 2020. I’m sure this has been asked but what are the best quick service resturaunt options for meals that can be split to save on cost? Also, needing some direction for sugar free options for a kid

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amie!

When we are at the Walt Disney World Resort, my family’s philosophy is to try everything! We love tasting new menu offerings but we also can’t miss our standby favorites (I’m looking at you, Dole Whip). Our strategy is to share lots of meals so we have room in our tummies – and our budgets. The great news is that many Walt Disney World Resort meals are huge portions, making sharing a perfect option!

Here are some of my favorite shareable Quick-Service restaurants and meals:

At Magic Kingdom Park, Be Our Guest Restaurant at breakfast is a Quick-Service meal, and their portions are huge and their pastry basket is a scrumptious bonus. I also like Be Our Guest Restaurant for lunch, where sharing an entrée and then splitting a cupcake for dessert works well. The warm cinnamon roll from Gaston’s Tavern is enormous and shareable, and so is the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich at Sleepy Hollow. My son and I often share an order of corn dog nuggets and French fries from Casey’s Corner – I highly recommend splurging on the hot cheese sauce for dipping! Any of their loaded hot dogs make great shareable options.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Flame Tree Barbecue offers several platter-style meals that are very shareable.  For lunch at Satu'li Canteen, a friend and I recently shared an order of Cheeseburger Steamed Pods and the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse, which is one of my favorite desserts at Walt Disney World.

At Epcot, Tangierine Café in the Morocco Pavilion has delicious food and huge portions. My family loves Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in France, and we usually pick a few items and share them all. Don’t miss the Jambon Beurre sandwich, which is huge and delicious.

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I recommend Woody’s Lunch Box. The Totchos are delicious and shareable, and the Lunch Box Tarts are also great.

At Disney Springs, Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza is a great choice – my kids always share one pizza, and it’s lots of food. Earl of Sandwich is another option if you have people in your family who will share a sandwich.

My friend Anna shared her advice for eating low-sugar at Walt Disney World in this helpful answer. I also recommend reaching out to the Special Diets team, as they can help you locate good options that meet your Mouseketeer’s dietary needs. They can be reached at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com.

Now I have a rumbly in my tumbly for all these delicious options! Over here on the Moms Panel, we love to talk about food, so please come on back and see us if you have more questions. Have so much fun planning and dreaming, and we’ll see ya real soon!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
