My family was planning to visit Disney World right after Christmas, but it looks like the week is sold out. Is there a way we can get tickets to any/all parks from12/26-12/31? 2 adults + 1 child (11 years).

    Hi Trevor!

Walt Disney World is so festive during the holidays! The parks are decked out with zillions of twinkling lights, thousands of bright red poinsettias, and hundreds of brilliantly decorated Christmas trees. I adore the Mickey shaped wreaths that adorn the lampposts.

Have you considered a visit to the mouse that includes a few days of fun outside the parks? December tends to be lovely in central Florida; you could visit Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park or relax by your hotel pool. Head to Disney Springs to eat, shop, ride a tethered air balloon, and enjoy the show Drawn to Life by Cirque du Soleil and Disney. Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground Resort has oodles of recreational activities. Here you can ride a horse, shoot an arrow, or paddle a canoe. Take a tour by monorail of resort Christmas decorations. Check out the Disney Skyliner. Play a round of golf- one of the miniature courses is even Christmas themed. There are as many options as books in the Beast's library.

There are still possibilities for spending a day or two in the parks. Most days the week after Christmas, Epcot has availability and early in the week, Disney's Animal Kingdom has openings as well. A couple of days are fully booked and currently there is no availability for Magic Kingdom or Disney's Hollywood Studios. Do check the Theme Park Availability Calendar before purchasing tickets as booking availability can quickly change.

Wishing you a wonderful visit to see Mickey!
