My family of 4 is planning a visit over Christmas. We have a vacation package with dining plan.(never done dining plan before) I am curious as to a suggested amount of spending money we should be prepared to take to have an enjoyable time.

    Hi Staci,

What a lovely vacation you have planned at the Walt Disney World Resort! It truly is extra special during the holidays even if it is crowded.

You do not mention what dining plan you have so I can recommend spending amounts. If you have the basic with a table service, a quick service and a snack, you may want to budget for another meal. Some guests can make it through using the snack for breakfast or lunch. I generally cannot so I budget for another quick service meal.

You also want to include an additional snack or larger snacks. Drinks should be budgeted as well since you will be doing a lot of walking. Finally, alcoholic beverages are not included.

As for souvenirs, pick a number. We generally gave our daughters between $25-50 a trip. This helped them learn budgeting while keeping our budget in check.

    Otherwise, you should be covered.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
