My family is planning our 1st vacation WDW. We have two daughters 2 and 4. We were thinking about staying at Port Orleans-riverside, but we are concerned with travel time/ wait time on the bus. Thought, suggestions. We will spend most of our time at MK

    Hi Shannon!

Wow, it is so awesome that you are planning your first Walt Disney World vacation!  You have come to the right place to ask questions as you plan for your Walt Disney World vacation!  If you are planning to spend most of your time in the Magic Kingdom then my recommendation for you and your family would be the Wilderness Lodge Resort because it is an incredible Deluxe Walt Disney World Resort! The Wilderness Lodge Resort is one of the least expensive per night of the Walt Disney World Resorts in the Deluxe category.  The Wilderness Lodge Resort is my favorite Deluxe Resort in Walt Disney World! I have stayed there four times since 2011. Wilderness Lodge is so much more than a room, in fact, it is an experience. It is like being in the Pacific Northwest and it is so well themed that you forget that you are in Florida at Walt Disney World! The Magic Kingdom is just a short boat ride from the Wilderness Lodge. There are even rooms that have bunk beds (you can request a room with bunk beds). The pool is amazing and there are three wonderful restaurants right inside Wilderness Lodge.

I hope that your first Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical in every way!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
