My family and I are planning a vacation early 2010. There is going to be 12 adults and 5 kids. Ages 9, 7, 5, 3, and 2. Would it be better for us to stay in different rooms or try and find 2 rooms that can hold all of us. What would be better for the price

Hi Gerin!  You have quite the group going to Walt Disney World for a great vacation next year!  You have many options and it is best you review them according to what amenities they offer, size of rooms, location, and of course price.

Disney has several locations that offer accommodations for five family members or more including some villas which can sleep up to 8.  The newest facility is the Treehouse Villa and these can sleep up to 9 guests.  This is a wonderful option for families who want to do some of their own cooking such as breakfasts and lunches and snacks and also have the laundry facilities right in their own villa.  When comparing the cost you must take the food aspect into consideration since you can save money by not having to dine out for all three meals a day. Many families also enjoy the villas where they have living areas away from the bedrooms in case children need naps or even the adults!  Please click HERE to see these locations and read more about them.

After comparing costs for the villas versus individual rooms and you decide to go with simple resort lodging then be sure and request that the rooms be connected (inside doors open to each other room) or adjoining (rooms next to each other by not connected by an inside door).  The resorts do the best they can to keep groups as close together as possible but this can't be guaranteed.
