Hi! my family and I are planning a vacation for December, pretty much to spend New Year's over there. We are planning to stay at the Art of animation resort, what can you tell us about that resort? Also, is it worth it getting the dinning plans?

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, Cindy!

The holidays are such an extra special time of year to visit the most magical place on Earth!  Sounds like a great plan to me.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is fun, fun, FUN!  Guests are immediately immersed in all things animation from the second they arrive until the minute they leave.  Check-in happens inside Animation Hall.  Nearby you will find the Pixel Play Arcade and delicious offerings at the Landscape of Flavors Food Court.  The resort is mostly comprised of family suites.  For the closest proximity to Animation Hall, I'd recommend that you select the Finding Nemo Family Suite(s).  There's so much to do there without ever having to leave the resort.  You might choose to rent a surrey bike or beach cruiser bike.  If you want to swim at the largest pool on property then you've found the right resort!

We find the Disney Dining Plans to be a great value as well as extremely convenient.  There are a few to choose from and I suggest that you take a look to see what's best for you and your family.  On top of the convenience aspect it's great to know that our meals and snacks have already been paid for before we even arrive.

Feel free to write back with any other questions, Cindy.  Always happy to help!

    Magically yours in 2018,
