Natasha your family is going to have a blast at Walt Disney World next summer!
Several aspects need to be considered when buying an Annual Pass. The main one is the number of days you will be visiting the parks in a 12 month period. If you are only visiting one time for a few days in a year then an AP is probably not for you.
There are discounts available on special tours, entertainment, select merchandise, and some restaurants offer a 10% discount. Special offers for hotel rooms for passholders tend to be offered close to the available dates so this might not benefit you if you are planning a year ahead for your vacation. Visit the
Passholder Program page to see a list of benefits.
Becoming an annual passholder will allow you to buy a Tables in Wonderland card. This entitles you to 20% off in most table service restaurants but purchasing the card is an additional expense. For a short trip it might not be a huge money saver.
Will your family be buying Park Hoppers, base tickets, or adding the No Expiration or Water Park and Fun option? Each type of ticket costs a different amount so consider this point too when making your decision.
Each person's situation is different, so consider all the factors and then do the math to see if becoming an Annual Passholder will provide you with adequate discounts to make the purchase worthwhile.
