    My family and I are planning a trip to WDW in June, we are finding that we are not a typical family, so alot of the discounts don't apply to us for staying on the property. Our family consists of grandma, grandpa, mom and two kids. What can we do?

    Hi Maria,

    We have traveled to Walt Disney World many times with multi-generations. The key to taking advantage of those discounts is to break up your traveling party when making reservations. You can then link your reservations together so that your rooms will be near each other. Typically, two rooms at a value or moderate resort is less expensive than a villa, family suite, or even a Fort Wilderness Cabin.

    Two rooms at one of the value resorts would accommodate Grandma and Grandpa in one room with Mom and kids in a connecting or adjacent room. Try pricing out this option and then compare it with the lodging that offer space for 5 guests or more.

    We have traveled many times with Grandma, Mom, Dad and 1 kid. Or Nana, Grandpa, Mom, Dad and 1 kid. Each time, we found that our lodging was less expensive when booking two separate rooms.
