Well Howdy, Brian! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. We love helping Guests with their planning questions!
I love to hear that you are thinking ahead and already putting a Disneyland Resort visit on the books for next year. What fun! I too am eagerly waiting to hear when they will release Disneyland Resort ticket and hotel bookings for next year. We don't have a date yet, but I believe in previous years we tend to hear something about this towards the end of summer for hotel and package bookings.
Theme Park Tickets can be purchased 120 days out.
You certainly can book a character dining experience and a stay at a Good Neighbor Hotel and there are a couple of ways to do it. For your hotel, could book your hotel and then purchase your tickets 120 days in advance separately or you could bundle them in a
Good Neighbor Vacation Package. This will allow you to purchase the tickets if your trip is further out than 120 days, and will provide you with a link to make your theme park reservations once you are in the 120-day window.
Once you have those details finalized, you will be able to start planning the details!
Dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance. I'm not sure which locations will be doing character dining, but you can usually count on
Goofy's Kitchen and
Plaza Inn having at least one meal be dedicated to character dining. I recently went to Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast and was actually quite impressed with the selection and elevated options. I also was pleased to be able to enjoy some Mickey waffles!
Brian, I hope this information helps you get some ideas and an idea of when you can officially start your planning! Be sure to stop by again as you plan with any questions that you have!
