Our family of 4 is planning a 2014 trip. in 2010 we came in September; in 2012 we came in November, inadvertently during "Jersey" week. Anyhow, we are looking at either coming 2/28-3/8 or anytime in May. Which is better?

Hi Joann! I personally would definitely choose the end of February/early March time for a Walt Disney World vacation. The weather will be more enjoyable and cooler at this time yet sun can still be warm during the days giving you a great opportunity to enjoy the parks. May is the beginning of their summer and the temperatures will be hot and it has now become more humid. That means the afternoon thunder storms are likely to join you each day!

It is always impossible to predict crowds on any given week. We were in Disney last spring for several weeks and one week might be totally sold out at the resorts followed by an empty week. You just can't predict when schools and universities will have their spring breaks from year to year. The week you have mentioned tends to be a good one as schools who have winter breaks usually have them a bit earlier in February and those with spring breaks generally are later in March. I would try for that one and hope you have hit the scheduling of vacations right on. That of course doesn't mean the parks will be empty but the crowds should be much more manageable!
