Hi! My family is planning a trip on October 2013, and unless, they offer the free dining, we are going to pay as we go. My question.... If we don't have the dining plan, can anyone order from the kid's menu at counter or table service? Thanks a lot!

Hi Lisa!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  At this time, the Free Dining Promotion is only for select dates in September, but you never know - they may extend it into October.  It has been done before, so we'll keep our fingers crossed that you get lucky!   If they don't offer free dining, and you do have to pay out of pocket, you won't have any problems ordering kids meals at counter service locations, since you just order at the kiosk and take your meal to your table to eat.    With Table Service restaurants, the kids meals are specifically for guests 3 - 9 yrs. old, and it would be up to the individual restaurant whether or not they would allow you to purchase a kids meal for an adult. Sometimes, if there are extenuating circumstances they will allow it, but as a general rule, you must be a child between the ages of 3 - 9.

If you visit Disney Dining online, you can view all of the restaurants and their menus and current pricing which should give you a better idea of how much cash to budget for meals during your Walt Disney World vacation.  Please let me know if I can help answer any other questions you have before your trip.

    Have a magical day!
