We are a family of 3 planning a trip for October. We have the Disney dinning plan booked, so im curious if $1,000 is enough in spending for a week?

    Hello, Aimee!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Thank you so much for entrusting us to help you plan your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!  We are SO excited for all of you!

I have seven members in my family, so I totally understand how important it is to plan a Walt Disney World vacation using a budget.  In looking at the number of people in your family and that you have already purchased the Disney Dining Plan, I am very confident that $1,000 will be plenty of spending money for your vacation.  Since you have your bottom line budget number, it is much easier to set a budget of souvenirs and additional snacks while in the Disney Theme Parks.

Here are some ideas to help you stay within your budget:

    1. Set a monetary number of how much you want to spend in a day. This has always helped our family from having no money left over the last few days of our vacation.  If you have money left over from Day 2, then you can spend more on Day 3. It's very simple, and it's also very wise.

    2. For my family, I budget a certain amount of spending money for my five children.  I then purchase a Disney Gift Card for $75.00 for my three older children and $50.00 for my younger children.  They know they can spend their money on snacks and souvenirs in way they want.  My kids also know that once their money allotment is gone, they do not receive any additional money from me.

    Have a MAGICAL day!
