Rachel from GA Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

We are a family of 4, planning a trip of 6 nights on property, 6 days in park and Disney dining. My MIL would like to join us for 3 nights, 3 days in the park, and stay in our room. Is that possible? Do we need to do anything different when scheduling?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rachel! What a fabulous family vacation you have ahead of you. I’m sure you’ll have a great time!

If you’d like your Mother In Law to join you for three nights, you’ll need to grab your Resort reservation number and call (407) 939-1936 to add her to the nights she’ll be staying with you. You’ll end up paying a small charge due to the occupancy fee, but she’ll be able to link up her MagicBand as a hotel key, have charging privileges and more like Extra Magic Hours, especially if she wants to take your kids on a grandparents-only trip to Magic Kingdom to spin on the teacups. As far as other arrangements go, she’ll need park tickets for the days she’d like to visit the parks with you, and you’ll need to include her on your dining reservations as well as your FastPass+ reservations. I always plan for my mom, so I added her name to my personal My Disney Experience account and plan for her. There was no need for her to create her own account since she nearly always travels with me!

If you have more questions about adding your family to your account or reservations, you can contact a Cast Member at the number above or return here to ask another question. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
