Hiya Samantha and welcome to planDisney!
Once upon a dream is coming true in just a few months for you and your family. Celebrating a little bundle of joy in
The Most Magical Place on Earth will only make the joy that much sweeter. And what could be more magical than
Magic Kingdom Park? It even says it in the name! When Cinderella Castle got its recent magical paint job, it became the site of that age-old tussle between Flora and Merryweather on whether to "Make it pink," or "Make it blue." They've since reached a compromise and it's now pink and blue! Since we don't want to start that argument up again, the castle will have to stay the color that it is. But there are still some super fun ways to celebrate your incoming Prince Phillip or Princess Aurora.
1. Book a Capture Your Moment Photo Session! My fellow panelist, Ashley, just got some lovely photos of her and her growing baby bump in Magic Kingdom Park with this service.
Book a session online right here. Since Mickey balloons are an iconic part of Walt Disney World why not purchase some from a Cast Member on Main Street, U.S.A., and use them in your photos? A pink and a blue should do the trick. Simply release the one that you don't need.
2. Get some I'm Celebrating buttons from the Cast Members in any shop on Main Street U.S.A. or at Guest Relations. They'd be happy to write "It's a boy," or "It's a girl," on them. have your family members pass the expecting mama the right button for a sweet moment.
3. Get Mickey in on it!
Traditional Character Greetings are phasing back into the Disney Parks as early as April 18th and there's no better way to celebrate than with a Mickey hug and a special moment. Box Office Gifts at Town Square Theater is the place to go for those beloved Mickey Ear hats. Have them embroidered there with "It's a boy," and "it's a girl," and then pop in to
have a meeting with Mickey Mouse himself! I'm sure he'd be delighted to be the one to pick out the correct hat. Just let whoever's in charge of the gender secret tell his Cast Member friend. That way he can know what to do.
Pro-tip: The secret keeper may want to tell the Cast Members that greet you as soon as y'all walk in to get in line to see Mickey. I've had personal experience with them helping me create some magical moments of my own. Be sure to give them a Cast Compliment in the
My Disney Experience app. Tap the icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and then scroll down and tap Cast Compliment. Make note of the names and their hometown on their name tag. They work so hard for us so let's give them some love right back!
Samantha, you came EXPECTING a good answer and I hope I gave you one. If you have any more,
come back for another chat!
Happy planning!
