My family is planning a trip in June with our 2 boys (ages 3 and 6). We have reservations for Mickey's Backyard BBQ. Do you think it will be enjoyable for my 2 boys, or is there something else you would recommend? Thank You!!

Hi Christ!!  We took our grandson to Mickey's Backyard Barbecue when he was three and he LOVED it!  There is a live band and a lot of dancing on the dance floor so the children need to be aware that it can get a bit crowded.  Kids who are not afraid of crowds will do fine. For those children who prefer a more peaceful experience they can meet some of the characters who will stand off to the side of the dancing for pictures.

The food is a good barbecue buffet. It is a very relaxed atmosphere and if it should rain it is completely under cover.  Besides the characters and band you will also be entertained by a cowboy who will show the kids a few rope tricks.  We had a great evening!  If you time it right you can then head to the beach and watch Wishes over at the Magic Kingdom.  They pipe in the music and although you can't see the very lower fireworks it is a wonderful and peaceful location to watch this show.
